How to Request Account Deletion

To request the deletion of your KemetMoney account and associated data, please send an email to:

support@kemetmoney.com

Your request must include:

• The email address associated with your KemetMoney account
• A clear statement requesting account deletion (e.g., "I request the deletion of my KemetMoney account")

For security purposes, we may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.

Processing Time

We will process your account deletion request within 30 days of receiving a complete and verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

What Will Be Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Your profile information (name, phone number, email preferences)
• Saved recipient details
• App preferences and settings
• Marketing and communication preferences

What Will Be Retained

In accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements, KemetMoney is legally required to retain certain records. Under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and FINTRAC regulations, we must keep the following information for at least five years from the date the record was created:

• Transaction records and ledgers
• Identity verification (KYC) records
• Compliance and audit logs
• Any regulatory reports filed, if applicable (e.g., suspicious transaction reports)

This retention is mandated by law and cannot be waived upon request. After the required retention period, this data will be securely deleted unless further legal retention is required.

In accordance with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), we only retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
