1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using KemetMoney services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

KemetMoney is a FINTRAC-compliant money transfer platform that allows Canadian residents to send money to Africa via Mobile Money (MTN, Orange, Airtel, Moov, Wave).

Available countries:

3. Eligibility

To use our services, you must: (a) be at least 18 years old; (b) be a Canadian resident; (c) possess a valid Canadian ID; (d) provide accurate information during registration; (e) not be on any international sanctions list.

4. Account Creation

You must create an account to use our services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

5. Identity Verification (KYC)

In accordance with FINTRAC regulations, we must verify your identity before processing transactions. You must provide a valid Canadian ID (driver's license or passport).

6. Money Transfers

Transfers are subject to the following conditions:

  • Minimum amount: 50 CAD per transaction
  • Maximum amount: 3,000 CAD per transaction
  • Transfer fees: 0 CAD (no fees)
  • Exchange rate: The displayed rate includes everything. No hidden fees.
  • Payment method: Interac e-Transfer only

7. Processing Times

Transfers are typically processed quickly after payment confirmation. Delivery times may vary depending on security checks, partner availability, and recipient details.

We are not responsible for delays caused by Mobile Money operators or third-party financial institutions.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel a transfer only if it has not been processed yet. In case of delivery failure, the amount will be refunded within 5-10 business days. Contact support@kemetmoney.com for assistance.

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use our services for: (a) illegal or fraudulent activities; (b) money laundering or terrorist financing; (c) sending money to sanctioned persons; (d) violating Canadian or international laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

KemetMoney is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the amount of the transfer in question.

11. Data Protection

We collect and protect your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and PIPEDA. Data is retained for a minimum of 5 years per FINTRAC requirements.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Quebec. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Quebec, Canada.
